The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, sometime referred to as the ‘baby standard’ is an independent testing and certification system for textile raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of production.

Many manufacturers would tell you a true baffle box is the most difficult and expensive design for a down comforter shell and it is. The baffles, which are the vertical interior walls in the middle of the comforter (see 'baffle box' arrow) are usually 1" to 2" inches tall. The outer shell, the top, and bottom attach to these vertical walls creating a three (3) dimensional square or baffle box. Hence the name baffle box design. 

Working with the delicate Egyptian fabrics and Hungarian fills used to make our luxury down bedding isn't left up to machines. Each down bedding piece is filled by a handful of people taking the time to sort, sew, inspect and fill our luxury down bedding before it makes it's way into your home. Every down bedding pillow shell, down comforter shell or feather bed shell must be inspected to ensure only the finest quality pieces are used.

All of our luxury down fills and feather fills are washed using a multi-step process ensuring only the cleanest feather and down fills are used to make our luxury down bedding. No detergents or chemicals are used during the cleaning process, just soap and water, further ensuring our Hungarian goose feather and down is clean.

Which is why we have adopted RDS, “Responsible Down Standard” initiative as proposed by The North Face, adopted globally by Textile Exchange and Control Union, to provide transparency to our customers that we are filling our luxurious down bedding with the finest most humanely sourced down in the world.
