I ordered a Feather Bead, a Pillow and a Feather Bed Protector. The products were amazing! I have never slept better. The Feather Bed is so soft and comfortable and the pillow is the same. The customer service is excellent as well. I highly recommend using this company. I have become a life long customer.
I really like a soft squishy sleep zone and my husband needs a firm mattress for his back. So I bought a twin size feather bed to use on my side of our king mattress. This arrangement works beautifully! I get a magnificent plush sleep area and he gets a firm mattress to help his back. I also bought a Snuggle Soft down pillow to add to my comfy heaven of a bed!
This is the third featherbed I have purchased from your company. The quality and service are wonderful!
Feather Bed Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is a feather bed?
In simplistic terms, a down mattress topper goes on top of the mattress but under your fitted sheet, and is there to add to the strengths of the mattress, and cover for its deficiencies. If your mattress is firm, the topper will provide softness and comfort, if your mattress is soft, the topper will add stability. The topper is a removable bedding, and is not to be confused with a mattress pad, which is attached to the mattress like a fitted sheet, and is often thin and lower in quality.
Q: What materials are feather beds made from?
When you hear the term feather bed, it might conjure up images of a medieval haphazard mattress with goose feathers sticking out everywhere. Fortunately this is not the case. Feather bed is another term for a mattress topper, and if you are not using this accessory, you might want to re-evaluate how you fall asleep at night.
Quality is something Down and Feather Company takes very seriously, which is why we only use the highest quality materials in the world to make our products. Our mattress toppers are made with either down, or a down feather mixture found on the Hungarian white goose. It is known the world-over as the softest and most luxurious down and feathers on the market. Furthermore, we use Egyptian cotton for the shells, also known around the world for its quality. Our toppers come in three styles, Natural Nights, Snuggle Soft, and Classic.
Q: What is the function of a mattress topper?
Maybe you are looking for pressure point relief or maybe your latex mattress is to firm and needs some softening. Just like a quality mattress, pillow, and comforter, a mattress topper can provide you an experience that is unmatched. At Down and Feather Company, we have taken the same steps we use to make our supremely comfortable pillows, and have made a feather mattress topper that gives you the illusion that you are sleeping in Heaven. Using the highest quality materials on Earth, we have created something that will make you question why you have never used one before now.
Q: What is the difference between a mattress and a mattress topper?
A mattress sits on top of your beds box spring which sits on top of your bed frame. Mattress toppers sit on top of your mattress but under your fitted sheet. We make our down mattress toppers using the finest Hungarian white goose down in the world so that you can come home to a little slice of heaven while you sleep.
Q: What are the differences between your mattress toppers?
Our Natural Nights collection is certified organic. This means that at no point during its production does dangerous chemicals come in contact with any of its materials. It is Ivory colored with a 700 fill power. The Egyptian cotton features a 300 thread count, with double row stitching around its perimeter, increasing its durability while not sacrificing on comfort. It will ease your pressure points, and give you the feeling that you are floating on a cloud.
The Snuggle Soft style is an 800 fill power dream, which contours to your body and lulls you into a perfectly comfortable slumber. It is pearl white, with an Egyptian cotton shell and white sateen piping. It is also hypo-allergenic. Just like our Natural Nights collection, we have removed all of the feathers that can poke you, making sure that nothing pokes you in the middle of the night. This is our highest quality mattress topper, and you will know why the moment you lay down. Much like with a pillow, you will find that you are sleeping on this topper, as opposed to into it. This adds to its stability and gives your body much needed support throughout the night.
The Classic mattress topper is different from the others in many ways. To begin with, it is a down feather mixture, featuring a 75:25 feather to down ratio percentage. For those of you who prefer all of the benefits a feather pillow brings, this is the topper for you. Unlike our feather pillow, you will find that you are sleeping in this topper, as opposed on it.
Q: Will the mattress topper be soft and supportive?
One feature that all of our mattress toppers have is a design that keeps everything in place. For the Natural Nights and Snuggle Soft varieties, we use a 12-inch baffle box design, keeping the down in place, and eliminating uncomfortable lumps. The Classic topper has a tradition three channel design, ensuring the feathers will not move around, which can sometimes cause them to poke through the material, often with painful results.
Q: What size down mattress topper should I buy?
All of our mattress toppers come in varying sizes including twin, queen, king, and California king, which means you will have no problems finding a topper that will fit your bed. The goose down has been washed in recycled water and environmentally friendly soap. Down and Feather Company understands that the welfare of the planet does not have to be sacrificed in order to provide our customers with a luxurious sleeping experience.
