We have a tendency to talk about pillows in a way most everyone else is either NOT willing to talk about or don't want you to know about.
We see all the time fill weight versus fill power. What's the difference between the two?
This is one of those other questions that we get a lot, and people think that fill weight and fill power are the same thing, but the reality is that fill weight is a function of how much material we put inside the shell of the pillow to create a given density: soft, medium, firm, or extra firm.
Fill power is a function of quality, so the higher the fill power the higher the quality: 600, 700 and 800.
Just to give you some perspective on the difference of those qualities, a 600 fill power down cluster is a little bit smaller than a U.S. dime, and an 800 fill power down cluster is larger than a U.S. quarter.
It takes a lot longer for you to have material that becomes as large as a down cluster at 800 fill power, and that's why it's so much more expensive.
So look for the 800 fill power if you want the best, softest, and most luxurious night's sleep.
Ah yes, and then we're left with: Just tell me what to choose!
